Our
Story
The beginning of the Farm.
In 2020, the world kind of stopped. A virus changed all our lives. As a nurse, it changed me, and altered my perception on children. This led us to growing our family in 2021. We want our son to grow up like we did. Somewhere he could safely play outside, in the dirt. Watch birds and squirrels. Catch lizards and lightening bugs. Learn how to make what you want or need. Work with his hands.

So, we sold our new house in the subdivision and bought a fixer upper on some land. Being who I am, I am determined to make this land not only a home for our family but also a way to teach our son hard work, dedication, wins and failures. So, the concept of Blackbird Farm was born.

As of now, we are going to focus on cut flowers. Over the last 2 years, I have "practiced". I've grown a ton of flowers, made and given away a ton of bouquets, taken notes, killed some things, had some fun. This farm will be an evolving adventure that we hope is an asset to our family and community.
We will love having you along for the journey.
